The start of a legacy
In 1954, John Dimond began the family’s namesake journey with diamonds, learning to grade and sort rough stones in the mining industry. His expertise and keen eye quickly earned him a reputation as a trusted supplier to some of the world’s leading diamond houses, including a close friendship with Harry Winston, the ‘King of Diamonds,’ who often invited John to New York.

Like father like son
Inspired by his father, Martin Dimond aspired to uphold the family’s diamond legacy. He trained in Antwerp, mastering the art of transforming rough diamonds into exceptional stones - a rare and intricate skill that demands years to master and countless hours to perfect. In 1989, Martin established his own business in London’s Hatton Garden, applying his craftsmanship to sourcing, buying, and selling diamonds worldwide. Over time, he expanded into designing and creating bespoke jewellery and engagement rings, working with London’s finest artisans and personally selecting each diamond to ensure every piece reflects skill, care, and his unwavering passion for the craft.

Next generation
Martin’s son, Harry, brings a fresh, creative perspective to the family business. A design graduate with a keen eye for aesthetics and a talent for incorporating the most meaningful personal touches, he helps bring each client’s vision to life. Together, father and son combine decades of expertise with a contemporary approach to bespoke jewellery, making the Dimonds one of London’s few remaining families of diamond specialists.

Although much has changed over the years, and Martin has passed the baton to Harry in his semi-retirement, our values remain unchanged.
